ENCOREHALL is a plugin that adds space (reverb) and echo to singing streamers' vocals, making them sound like singing in a real venue (Pro edition features 6 scenes and voice-first capability).
1. Overview
ENCOREHALL is a vocal plugin designed for VTubers and streamers doing singing streams. No audio engineering knowledge is needed. By simply choosing a scene for where you sing and turning the knobs, you can add high-quality space and echo to your vocals, making them sound like singing in a real venue.
- Simple operation with zero technical jargon: Without using any difficult terms, you can intuitively shape your sound by simply selecting a scene (STUDIO, KARAOKE, LIVE, HALL) and turning the knobs.
- Clear lyrics without muddiness: To prevent words from getting muddy when adding space and echo, harsh S sounds and low end in the sending voice are automatically cleaned up.
- Zero latency: Because there is no latency in processing, you never have to worry about your singing voice or mouth movements falling out of sync with video.
- Lightweight performance: Built to be lightweight so you can run it smoothly on the same PC as your streaming software.
- Worry-free distortion prevention: Output levels are kept in check automatically at the output stage so your sound will not clip no matter how high you turn the knobs. In addition, the volume of your original voice remains unchanged.

3. Installation
Installation (Windows)
- Extract the downloaded ZIP file.
- Copy the
ENCOREHALL.vst3 folder to the following location:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\
- Launch your DAW or host and perform a plugin rescan (if you copy while it is running, it may not be detected immediately).
Windows security warning:
Because this plugin is not code-signed, your browser or Windows may show a warning when downloading or extracting the ZIP. In that case, choose to keep or allow the file. Before extracting, right-click the ZIP file and open "Properties". If you see "Security: This file came from another computer..." at the bottom, check "Unblock", click OK, and then extract the archive.
Installation (Mac)
- Extract the downloaded ZIP file.
- Copy
ENCOREHALL.vst3 to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/, and copy ENCOREHALL.component to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ (where ~ represents your home folder. In Finder, open the "Go" menu, choose "Go to Folder...", paste the path, and press Return. If the folder does not exist, create it).
- Open Terminal (Applications → Utilities → Terminal), paste the following 3 lines one by one, and press Return for each:
cd ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine VST3/"ENCOREHALL.vst3"
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine Components/"ENCOREHALL.component"
- Launch your DAW or OBS and perform a plugin rescan (if you copy while it is running, it may not be detected immediately. If AU does not appear in Logic Pro or other DAWs, restart your Mac).
Mac security warning:
Because this plugin is not notarized, macOS will show a message such as "is damaged and cannot be opened" or "cannot check it for malicious software" unless you run the commands above, preventing the DAW from loading the plugin. These commands remove the quarantine attribute attached by macOS to downloaded files. You must run these commands again if you reinstall or update the plugin. If nothing is displayed in Terminal, the command succeeded.
Uninstallation
[Windows] Delete the copied ENCOREHALL.vst3 folder.
[Mac] Delete the copied ENCOREHALL.vst3 and ENCOREHALL.component files.
4. Using with OBS
Because OBS cannot load VST3 plugins directly, install the free OBS plugin "atkAudio Plugin" and run ENCOREHALL inside it. OBS Studio 31.1.1 or later (64bit) is required.
- Install the installer for your OS from the atkAudio Plugin download page.
- Launch OBS and open "Filters" for your microphone audio source.
- Click "+" and add "atkAudio Plugin Host".
- Click "Open Plugin Settings", and under "Options", select "Scan for new or updated VST3 plugins" to detect installed plugins (first time only).
- Select ENCOREHALL from the list, click "Load Plugin" to load it, open the window, and turn the knobs.
Microphone filter order:
If you use OBS built-in noise suppression or voice adjustment plugins, place ENCOREHALL after them in the filter list.
* In a DAW (such as Ableton Live), simply insert it as an effect on your vocal track.
5. The screen
Header bar (top)
- Logo & version: Displays the logo and version (v1.0.0) at the top left of the window.
- Preset bar: Located in the center of the top bar. Allows you to quickly switch between settings (presets) tailored to songs or stream atmosphere. 14 factory presets (F01–F14) are available in the free edition.
- TALK button: A manual illuminated button at the top right of the window. When pressed during conversation, it lights up and stops sending new singing audio into the space and echo. The existing tail fades away naturally, so the tail at the end of a song is never cut off abruptly. Press again before singing to turn it off. There is no automatic speech detection.
Help line
- Located right below the header. When you hover over a button or knob, it displays an explanation and tips for that function (displays in English on an English OS, and in Japanese on a Japanese OS).
SCENE panel
Select where you sing. You can choose from 4 scenes in the free edition.
- STUDIO: Studio. A room with controlled space.
- KARAOKE: Karaoke. Sound of a cozy karaoke room.
- LIVE: Club. Adds thickness and presence of a live venue.
- HALL: Concert hall (default). A wide and elegant space like a concert hall.
- CATHEDRAL / DREAM: Scenes of the Pro edition. While buttons are visible on the screen in the free edition, they have a PRO badge and cannot be selected.
- Scene description: Displays characteristics of the currently selected scene at the bottom of the panel.
STAGE panel
Adjust the space and echo of the selected scene.
- Room sound display: Shows recent audio history on the screen. Draws the level of the original voice as a gray area and the space and echo level as a cyan line in real time.
- SPACE "Amount": Adjusts how much space is added (default: 40). Setting it to 0 adds no space, leaving only your original voice.
- SIZE "Room size": Adjusts the size of the space within the selected scene (default: 50). Turning it up makes the space wider and lengthens the tail after singing.
- TONE "Brightness": Adjusts the brightness of the space (default: 50). Turning left yields a soft and calm tone, while turning right creates a bright tone that cuts through.
- ECHO "Repeats": Repeats your singing voice with a slight interval like karaoke (default: 30). Turning it up makes repeats louder and continue longer. The repeat interval is automatically set based on the selected scene and SIZE. Setting it to 0 turns off the echo.
- CLEAR "Voice first": Feature of the Pro edition. While the knob is visible on the screen in the free edition, it has a PRO badge and cannot be adjusted.
OUT "Level" panel
- OUT meter: A vertical meter. If the bar stays within the target zone while you sing, your voice is at an easy-to-hear volume for streaming.
- Output levels are kept in check automatically so your sound will not clip no matter how high you turn the knobs.
6. How to use
- Select a scene from the SCENE panel that matches the mood of the song (when in doubt, choose the default HALL).
- Turn SPACE (Amount) while singing to adjust to a comfortable amount of space.
- Adjust SIZE (Room size) and TONE (Brightness) according to the tempo and mood of the song.
- Turn up ECHO (Repeats) if you want to add repeating repeats like karaoke.
- Check the OUT meter to see if the bar stays within the target zone while singing.
- When chatting with listeners between songs, press the TALK button at the top right. It stops sending new singing audio into the space, keeping the remaining tail while making your spoken voice clear and easy to hear. Press again before singing to turn it off.
* Each knob can be reset to its default value by double-clicking or right-clicking.
7. Tips
- Choosing a scene: Choose based on where you want your singing to sound like. When in doubt, HALL is recommended. STUDIO or LIVE works well for energetic or uptempo songs.
- Songs with busy backing tracks: For songs whose backing track already has plenty of space, keeping SPACE slightly lower keeps your vocals from getting buried and stays clear.
- Tuning harsh S sounds and muffled tone: If your vocals sound muffled, turn TONE up slightly; if harsh S sounds or breath sounds stand out, turn TONE down slightly to soften the tone.
- Using presets: By simply selecting a setting from the preset bar at the top that matches the song genre (ballad, rock, anime song, etc.) or stream atmosphere, the scene and knobs switch together.
- Using the TALK button: The TALK button is toggled manually. Keeping it on during conversations lets you deliver clear speech to listeners without abruptly cutting off the remaining tail after singing.
8. About ENCOREHALL Pro
For users seeking richer expression and automatic adjustment, the upgraded edition "ENCOREHALL Pro" is available. ENCOREHALL Pro adds the following features:
- Additional scenes (CATHEDRAL / DREAM): Adds "CATHEDRAL (Stone)", offering a solemn and vast space, and "DREAM (Endless)", offering a dreamy and long tail (6 scenes in total).
- CLEAR "Voice first": Automatically lowers space and echo while singing, allowing them to bloom smoothly during pauses and at the end of vocal phrases. Even with generous space, lyrics never get buried and words stay forward (includes "Voice first" indicator dot).
- Saving settings: Allows you to save and load your favorite custom settings as user presets (factory presets are also expanded to 20 varieties).
