 ENCOREHALL  v1.0.0
 Hall & Echo Plugin for Streamers
 Tonecraft Tokyo
======================================================================

* Overview

ENCOREHALL is a plugin designed for singing streamers.
It wraps your singing voice in the rich space (reverb) of real
concert halls and live venues, delivering your lyrics clearly
without blurring them.

  - Simple SCENE buttons that let you choose where you sing
    (4 scenes: STUDIO, KARAOKE, LIVE, and HALL)
  - 4 knobs to shape amount, room size, brightness, and echo
    (SPACE, SIZE, TONE, and ECHO)
  - TALK button to manually lower room sound and echo during chats
    (the trailing tail fades out naturally after you finish singing)
  - Thoughtful design that automatically tames sibilance and low end
    so your lyrics never get blurred
  - Zero-latency design with no processing latency (your voice
    stays in sync with your lips)
  - Lightweight performance for smooth use on the same PC as your
    streaming software
  - Real-time visual display showing the levels of your voice
    and space
  - OUT meter that shows at a glance whether your level is right
    for streaming
  - 14 factory presets to choose from to match the mood of each song
  - A help line that explains each knob on mouse hover
  - Supports both mono and stereo

* Installation

[Windows]

  1. Extract this ZIP file.
  2. Copy the ENCOREHALL.vst3 folder to the following location:

       C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

  3. Launch your DAW or OBS and perform a plugin rescan.
     (If you copy the folder while the host is running, changes may
     not take effect.)

To uninstall, delete the ENCOREHALL.vst3 folder you copied.

[Mac]

  1. Extract this ZIP file.
  2. Copy ENCOREHALL.vst3 and ENCOREHALL.component to the following
     locations respectively:
     (~ represents your user home folder. You can open it by pasting
     the path into Finder: Go -> Go to Folder. Create the folder if
     it does not exist.)

       ENCOREHALL.vst3      -> ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/
       ENCOREHALL.component -> ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/

  3. Open Terminal (Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal), paste the
     following three lines one by one, and press Return:

   cd ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins
   xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine VST3/"ENCOREHALL.vst3"
   xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine Components/"ENCOREHALL.component"

     If nothing is displayed, it succeeded. If you do not run this,
     macOS will show messages like "is damaged and cannot be opened"
     or "cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified",
     and the DAW will not load the plugin. This command only removes
     the quarantine attribute that macOS attaches to downloaded files
     (you need to run it again when updating or reinstalling).
  4. Launch your DAW or OBS and perform a plugin rescan.
     (If the AU plugin does not appear in Logic Pro or other DAWs,
     restart your Mac.)

To uninstall, delete ENCOREHALL.vst3 and ENCOREHALL.component that
you copied.

* Using with OBS

Because OBS cannot load VST3 plugins directly, install the free OBS
plugin "atkAudio Plugin" and run ENCOREHALL inside it.
OBS Studio 31.1.1 or later (64bit) is required.

  1. Download and run the installer for your OS from the atkAudio
     Plugin download page:
     https://github.com/atkAudio/PluginForObsRelease/releases
  2. Launch OBS and open Filters for your microphone audio source.
  3. Click "+" and add "atkAudio Plugin Host".
  4. Click "Open Plugin Settings" -> "Options" ->
     "Scan for new or updated VST3 plugins" to let it scan for
     plugins (first time only).
  5. Select ENCOREHALL from the list, click "Load Plugin" to load
     it, and open the window to use it.

* Quick start

  1. Choose a scene that matches where you sing from the SCENE
     buttons (if unsure, choose HALL).
  2. While singing, adjust SPACE for the amount of room sound and
     ECHO for the repeats to your liking.
  3. Turn SIZE if you want to change the room size, and turn TONE
     if you want to change the brightness.
  4. Turn on TALK when chatting (turn it back off before you sing).

For detailed instructions, see the bundled ENCOREHALL_Manual.html.

* About the download warning

[Windows]
Because the software is not code-signed, your web browser may show
a warning when downloading the ZIP. In that case, choose to keep or
allow the download.

Also, before unzipping, right-click the ZIP file and open Properties.
If you see "Security: This file came from another computer..." at
the bottom, check "Unblock", click OK, and then extract the files.

[Mac]
Run the command in Step 3 of the installation instructions. Do the
same when updating or reinstalling.

This product is a VST3 / AU plugin. It does not launch on its own;
your DAW loads it as a plugin.
